Wendi Huntley is the President of The SPEC Group, Ltd. The SPEC Group is a business consulting company that advises small business clients, as well as entertainers and athletes in connection with various legal and business matters. SPEC offers a wide range of services from business development and planning to event planning/management to public relations to marketing and promotions, among other things. Our goal is to assist our clients with protection of their rights while building a successful plan for the future. SPEC's client list includes emerging businesses, professional athletes, singers, songwriters, independent record labels, producers, authors, models, apparel companies, internet based businesses and independent film and television companies based in Ohio and around the United States.

 

Wendi was an Associate with the Columbus, Ohio based law firm Bricker & Eckler, LLP, for over ten (10) years, and has expertise in various areas of the law including litigation, corporate, intellectual property and estate planning. Not only is Wendi an accomplished attorney and businesswoman, but she also was the co-host of the morning talk show, Front Street, which aired on 1580 WVKO AM for several years. Front Street was a show that covered current affairs, as well as community, political and social issues.

 

For a period of almost three years, Wendi worked as the General Manager of Columbus Christian Center Church located in Columbus, Ohio. Her responsibilities included providing leadership, advice and general oversight of all ministry operations and planning. She was also a member of the Executive Team of Ever Increasing Life Ministries (EILM) which provided oversight of its subsidiaries and affiliates: Columbus Christian Center Church, Spirit of Life Church International (Roanoke, VA) and Increase Community Development Corporation.

 

Currently, Wendi is a Board Member of HEIRS Christian Center Church, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has served in an advisory capacity for several churches and ministries. Currently, in addition to her responsibilities at SPEC, Wendi is the Founder of The Legacy Link, which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to educating individuals about the importance of estate planning. She travels around the state, region and country speaking to audience and sharing information and resources.

 

Ms. Huntley received her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University. She earned her J.D. from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1991. Wendi has been a member of the Columbus, Ohio and American Bar Associations, the National Conference of Black Lawyers and has served as the Co-Chair of the Columbus Bar Association Sports & Entertainment Committee. In addition, she was a certified agent with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the National Football League (NFL) and USA National Track & Field for several years. Over the years, Wendi has served on numerous boards and is involved several industry associations.
